How to Turn Reddit Questions into SEO Content Automatically

Finding Your Audience’s Real Questions

The first step is to stop guessing what people are searching for and start listening. We use an n8n workflow to automatically scrape new posts from subreddits relevant to our niche.

The system pulls the post’s title, body content, author, and a direct link. Every question captured is then logged into a Google Sheet or n8n Datatable. This gives us a simple, organized database of raw, authentic user problems that we can track over time.

Filtering Signal from the Noise

Not every question is a content opportunity. The raw data from Reddit is messy, filled with duplicates, spam, or irrelevant posts.

To solve this, a small code block in the workflow cleans the data. It removes duplicate entries and filters posts based on word count and relevance. Only useful questions — the ones that represent real content opportunities — are allowed to move to the next stage. This ensures the AI engine is fed high-quality prompts, which is critical for generating high-quality output.

The AI Writing Engine

Once a question is approved, it’s sent to OpenAI to be transformed into a full article. The AI doesn’t just write a block of text; it generates structured content optimized for SEO.

The output includes:

  • An SEO-friendly slug for the URL
  • A compelling introduction
  • A step-by-step body that answers the question
  • A concise conclusion

Each section is delivered as part of a clear blog outline. The result is a readable, optimized, and structured draft that is ready for publishing.

Creating the Content Production Line

This is where the system becomes a true content factory. While you could use Google Sheets as a content management system, it requires manual work to get the content onto your site.

We use n8n Datatables instead. It acts as our CMS, keeping the entire workflow contained within n8n, which is simpler and more cost-effective than using an external database like Supabase. Each row in the datatable represents a complete blog post, containing the slug, intro, body, and conclusion. From here, you can build connections to automatically export the finished articles directly to WordPress, Notion, or your website.
